Spirits in Transit

Spirits in transit are distilled spirits being transferred in bond between premises, for example from one DSP to another, that have left the origin but not yet arrived and been received at the destination.

Transfers in bond let spirits move between bonded premises without the tax being determined, but they must be accounted for at both ends so nothing falls out of the records in between. Reconciling shipments and receipts is part of keeping the storage account and bond coverage accurate.
