ABV = (OG - FG) x 131.25; attenuation = (OG - FG) / (OG - 1) x 100

How do you calculate ABV from gravity?
Subtract final gravity from original gravity and multiply by 131.25. An OG of 1.080 finishing at 1.000 is about 10.5% ABV.
What is attenuation?
The percentage of sugar consumed by the yeast: (OG - FG) / (OG - 1) x 100.
